2006, 2008 and 2009, the Fruita
Fall Festival is the granddaddy of festivals on the Western Slope. The event
is celebrated on the last full weekend in September. This festival offers three
days of events including a parade, bed race, baking & canning contest, youth
pet and talent show, two stages of music and over 170 arts and crafts vendors.

Tire Festival, Fruita has an active community, also hosting riverfront concerts,
Thursday evening variety shows, a weekly farmer's
market, summer rodeos, Halloween Trick or Treat Street and Hometown Christmas
and Parade of Lights. There is even a festival celebrating dinosaurs - Dinosaur
Days put on by the Museum of Western Colorado.
